The Iowa Restaurant Association is hosting its second annual Iowa Hospitality Expo located at the Iowa Events Center November 18, 2019. This event is the only educational, networking, culinary/beverage sampling, and awards event dedicated exclusively to the business success of Iowa’s restaurant and tavern industry. The Expo will feature the Chairman of the National Restaurant Association Board of Directors Melvin Rodrigue, CEO of Galatoire’s Restaurants in New Orleans. There will also be a series of 30 minute educational sessions on a variety of timely topics that impact owners, managers and other hospitality professionals. Additionally, there will be an exposition floor for booths, a networking cocktail hour, and an awards ceremony. We are anticipating more than 300 attendees!
The Association is seeking proposals from those interested in delivering educational sessions.
Examples of well-attended sessions in 2018 included:
- Menuing for Profit
- Should Restaurants Add a “Convenience Fee” When Customers Pay by Card?

We request that your proposal address related topics within areas that are timely and pertinent to Iowa’s hospitality businesses, particularly independently owned businesses. The sessions will be 30 minutes long including the intro and any Q&A. Panel discussions may be proposed.
Presentations must be of high-quality information and steer clear of advertising/pushing your company on attendees.
Please feel free to submit proposals for each topic for which you would like to be considered.
All questions regarding your proposal should be directed to Stacy Kluesner. email@example.com or 515-276-1454
Please submit your proposal by 5 p.m. on July 30, 2019
